The Manufacturers Limited Warranty you received when you purchased your ice machine is not a 100% everything is covered no questions asked warranty, and although wording may vary between Limited Warranties, their intent is to protect you against a prematurely failure of a defective part within the product itself. That being stated it is important to understand that although your equipment might be within its warranty period, it does not always mean the repairs in question are covered by your factory warranty? Here a few common examples (but not limited too) of non-warrantable repairs:
IMPROPERLY INSTALLED: Equipment must have been installed in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines including all adjustments that are required during the "Startup & Inspect" portion of install.
MAINTENANCE RELATED ISSUES: Dirty, greasy, scale, bacteria growth, etc., due to improper and or non-regular maintenance. *Insufficient water supply, including, but not limited to, hard water leading to clogged water supply, and or clogged and or improperly sized water filters, etc.*Slow production, including but not limited to, high heat areas, and or general harsh working environments.
IMPROPERLY SIZED EQUIPMENT: Equipment is only designed to produce a certain amount of ice. If the complaint is that a unit is slow or not making enough ice, and it’s later determined that the unit is running within normal limits, you will be charged for the service call & any labor required to test the Equipment.
PARTS DEEMED DAMAGED, NOT DEFECTIVE: Parts or equipment deemed damaged not defective. Including but not limited to Parts damaged by bad water, dirt, grease, improper maintenance, stress, harsh working environment, or improperly installed equipment.
FREIGHT DAMAGE: Freight damage or physical damage of any kind is not covered by your manufacture's limited warranty, should your equipment been damaged during shipping, delivery or install, please call the company you purchased your equipment from and discuss your options?
Reliable Ice Equipment Inc., can not accept, dispatch or schedule any requests for service until we know who is responsible and will approve and pay for services should the requsted repairs are later demmed related to a non-warrantanty issue and therefore un-billable to manufacure.
